After the devastating attacks on the World Trade Center Towers in New York on Septempber 11, 2001, our great country united to help each other. Thousands of workers that were exposed to toxic dust at the ground zero World Trade Center site have become seriously ill and need the country to band together for them now.
The senate introduced a bill on Wednesday that will allow people that have become ill since 2003 (the old deadline to receive workers compensation benefits) to be able to qualify for the treatment they deserve. A very similar bill introduced last year was rejected because New York was going to have to pay for the majority of the $12 billion fund.
If you support the bill, have your say on our blog by posting a comment. We would like to know what you think.
